KMP Expressway to become gateway to Developed India2047 Rao Narbir Singh

Chandigarh, April 21:- Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh said that the approximately 135 km long Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway will become a major pillar of industrial development of the state and will play a key role in realizing the vision of Developed India-2047. He said that keeping in mind the expected population of the year 2031, the government has formed the Panchgram Development Authority with the aim of developing 5 new cities on both sides. This expressway will be developed on the lines of Singapore, making this region a hub of modern urbanization and industrial progress.
The Industries Minister said that the role of the National Capital Region in the India-2047 vision developed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is very important and the KMP Expressway will provide strong connectivity and infrastructure in this direction. Keeping this in mind, the Haryana Government has made necessary revisions in its Industrial Policy so that investment, employment and infrastructure can get a new momentum.
He clarified that the objective of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation should not only be to earn revenue, but also to provide better facilities, prompt services and a conducive environment to the industrialists.
Shri Rao Narbir Singh said that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini had announced to establish 10 new Industrial Model Townships to give impetus to industrial development by the year 2030. Out of these, 5 IMTs have been approved and their development process is underway. He said that last year the budget of the Industries Department was increased by 125 percent and there is a plan to increase it further in the upcoming budget so that industrial expansion in the state continues to get strength.
He said that out of the proposed 10 IMTs, 3 will be developed in the National Capital Region, the center of which will be the KMP Expressway. Along with this, 5 new cities will become the attraction centers of developed India and will prove helpful in reducing the increasing population pressure in Delhi.
The Industries Minister said that Haryana, which has been the pioneer of the Green Revolution, has now made its mark at the global level by establishing Gurugram as an IT hub. In the coming times, when new IMTs are developed, Haryana will lead the industrial revolution of the country.
He said that geographically, Haryana is connected to Delhi on three sides and the IGI Airport and Jewar Airport are reachable in about 30 minutes, making this region very attractive for investors from home and abroad.
