Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann reach Central Jail Ambala
Ambala, June 9: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and former Delhi Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Delhi, Atishi, arrived in Ambala by helicopter on Tuesday. They visited the Central Jail to meet AAP leader Deepak Singla, who is currently incarcerated there in connection with an alleged bank fraud case.
The trio’s helicopter landed at the Police Lines ground, where party workers and leaders welcomed them. They then traveled in a convoy to the Ambala City Rest House. After spending some time there, the leaders proceeded to the Ambala Central Jail under tight security.
According to party sources, the three senior leaders met with Deepak Singla in jail to inquire about his health and legal situation. During the visit, the party leadership expressed their support for Singla and discussed the case. Several senior party officials and workers were present on this occasion. The police administration was on high alert regarding the leaders' visit, and elaborate security arrangements were in place.
Deepak Singla was reportedly arrested in an alleged bank fraud case and is currently in judicial custody at the Ambala Central Jail. No formal statement was issued by the AAP leaders following the meeting.
