Kavi Darbar Dedicated to Independence Day Organized by Gyandeep Manch

Patiala:- A literary function and Kavi Darbar dedicated to Independence Day was organized by Gyandeep Sahit Sadhana Manch (Regd.) Patiala at the Seminar Hall of Language Department Punjab, Patiala on date 16/08/26 (Sunday) in which renowned poets and scholars from Patiala and surrounding cities participated. The function was presided over by President of Gyandeep Manch Dr. G.S. Anand Ji. Multi-faceted writer and poet Dharam Singh Kammeana participated as special guest.
Starting the Kavi Darbar dedicated to "Independence Day", General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Chann Patialvi threw light on the importance of Independence Day and gave brief information about the poets present. After that, the Kavishri Jatha of Mahinder Singh Balbera and Rajesh Sharma started the function with Kavishri colour dedicated to Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. In this function, the Independence Day special issue of the famous Punjabi magazine "Gusaiyan" was also released.
In his presidential speech, Dr. G.S. Anand said that Punjabis had to pay a very big price and endured a lot of pain for the independence of the country. Senior Vice President of the Manch and Chief Editor of Gusaiyan magazine Kulwant Singh Narike said in his speech that magazine Gusaiyan has entered its nineteenth year with the cooperation of all of you. He said that martyrs had a dream for the independence of the country that the country should be independent but their dream has not been realized. He thanked all the litterateurs and audience who reached the function.
In the poetry session, among the poets present, Dharam Singh Kammeana, Bachan Singh Guram, Darshan Singh Darsh Pasiana, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Kuldeep Kaur Dhanju, Advocate Gurdarshan Singh Gusil, Tarlochan Mir, Ram Singh Bang, Jaswinder Kaur, Sant Singh Sohal, Balwinder Bhatti, Eng. Major Singh, Krishan Dhiman, Hari Singh Chamak, Balbir Singh Dildar, Mangat Khan, Rajeshwar Kumar, Amandeep Singh Patiala presented their compositions and created a great atmosphere. Rabinder Singh SDO, Gurdeep Singh Saggu, Charan Singh Bambiah Bhai, Gurdev Singh and Pawan Kumar were also present. The duties of photography were well performed by Darsh Pasiana.
