Karnal Police arrested the fourth accused in a case under the NDPS Act

Karnal, December 7: Acting on credible information, the Crime Investigation Branch of the Assandh District Police, led by Sub-Inspector Surjeet Singh, arrested the fourth accused in the case, Deepak Sharma, son of Krishna Pal, resident of village Bamori, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh). The investigating officer stated that a case under the NDPS Act was registered at Assandh Police Station on July 7, 2025, for the sale of 25,740 Lomotil and Alprazolam narcotic pills.
During the investigation, police had already arrested three accused—1. Praveen Kumar, 2. Meharban, 3. Naveen Sharma.
During interrogation, it was revealed that another associate of these accused, Deepak Sharma, was also actively involved in the illegal drug trade. The accused was employed at RPG Life Sciences Pharma Company in Delhi, from where he stole the narcotic pills and supplied them to his associates.
The investigating unit arrested Deepak Sharma and presented him before the Honorable Court, where he was granted six days of police remand. During the remand period, the accused will be thoroughly interrogated to uncover all aspects of the case.
