Hoshiarpur: The “Sanjhi Rasoi” project being run by Zila Red Cross Society at Mohalla Ish Nagar, Hoshiarpur is running very successfully under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain. Around 450 to 500 poor and needy individuals are benefiting from it daily.
While sharing this information, Secretary, Zila Red Cross Society, Mangesh Sood said that for the success of this project, Kamlesh Sharma contributed an amount of 5,000/- rupees at Sanjhi Rasoi on the occasion of the birthday of his son Ankur Sharma. On this occasion, Red Cross Executive Committee member Rajeev Bajaj and Red Cross member Kuldeep Kohli were present.
On this occasion, Mangesh Sood also informed that this project being run by Zila Red Cross is sustained through funds provided as donations by generous individuals and social workers of the district. Along with providing continuous financial assistance under the Book-a-Day scheme to celebrate occasions such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and remembrance days of their family members at Sanjhi Rasoi, they also contribute ration supplies.
