Kalyan visits Gharaunda Government College assures resolution of college problems

Karnal, January 14: Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan today visited the Government College in Araipura, Gharaunda, and gathered information about its basic needs and problems. On this occasion, Principal S.K. Nagia presented about a dozen demands related to the college to the Assembly Speaker. Mr. Kalyan assured appropriate action on these demands.
Mr. Kalyan was speaking to reporters after visiting the Government College in Araipura, Gharaunda today. He said that this is the oldest college in the area. It was built by the elders of Araipura through an organization. Later, the government took it over. He said he had come here today to discuss some issues related to the college. Issues such as declaring the old college building as condemned, constructing a boundary wall, developing the grounds, and laying pipelines were brought to his attention.
The principal also presented some other demands. All of these will be considered and appropriate steps will be taken. A plan will be prepared and sent to the government so that students receive more facilities in the future and do not face any difficulties in pursuing their education. Some of the work will be completed at the local level.
He said that action will definitely be taken on all the issues that have come to his notice today. In response to a question, he said that creating a good environment for girls is the responsibility of the entire society. For a developed nation, it is essential that every girl stands on her own feet. The government is working seriously in this direction. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini constantly pays attention to these issues. If girls face any kind of difficulty in going to school or college, that too will have to be addressed.
He instructed the principal to provide information on how many girls from which village reach the college using what means of transport. This is so that appropriate steps can be taken to resolve any problems that may arise. He said that his endeavor is for the region to progress. Every young person should stand on their own feet, become self-reliant, cultured, and a good citizen, and contribute to the progress of the nation. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar, SDM Rajesh Soni, BDPO Somveer Khatkar, Anjali Siwach and Deepika from the Higher Education Department, Major Professor Anita June from the Higher Education Department, Dr. Deepa Dhull, Vice-Principal of Bastara College, Rajkumar Paliwal, Chairman of Market Committee Gharaunda, Mandal President Rohit Bhandari, and officials from the PWD department were present.
