Justice for every shattered dream due recognition for every effort
Karnal, July 22:- A program was organized under the banner of the All India Congress Committee’s "Chhatron Ki Goonj" campaign. Held in the presence of campaign in-charge Amit Sihag and presided over by Parag Gaba, President of the District Congress Committee (Urban, Karnal), the event was attended by Youth Congress President Somil Sandhu, District Congress Committee (Rural) President Rajesh Vaid, Bhuppi Lathar, District Media In-charge Sandeep Mahajan, Radaur Youth President Jitendra Narwal, Advocate Rajat, and numerous other office-bearers and party workers.
The "Chhatron Ki Goonj" campaign is evolving into a powerful mass movement against the backdrop of recurring paper leaks in competitive exams nationwide, intolerable delays in recruitment processes, mounting irregularities in the examination system, and the injustice being meted out to the futures of millions of young people. This campaign is not limited to a few specific demands; rather, it serves as the voice for the hopes, struggles, and dreams of crores of students who—despite years of arduous hard work—have endured the pain of a chaotic and corrupt system.
Representatives of the campaign stated that a student dedicates the most crucial years of their life to preparing for competitive exams, investing tireless day-and-night effort and personal sacrifices while carrying the hopes of their families. However, when paper leaks occur repeatedly, exams are cancelled, results remain pending for months, and recruitment processes hang in limbo for years, the impact goes far beyond a single exam; it shatters the dreams of millions of youths, destroys the trust of their parents, and crushes the aspirations of entire families.
They remarked that the irregularities surfacing in numerous national and state-level examinations over the past few years have severely eroded the youth's faith in the examination system. Hard work and talent can only be truly respected when the system is transparent, fair, and accountable. The nation's youth are not demanding special privileges; rather, they seek respect for their hard work, equal opportunities, and a fair examination and recruitment system.
Under the "Chhatron Ki Goonj" (Voice of Students) campaign, a dialogue is being established with students across educational institutions, libraries, hostels, coaching centers, and various public spaces nationwide. The campaign aims to collectively convey the voices, grievances, and suggestions of every student to the relevant authorities, ensuring effective and time-bound solutions to their problems.
Key demands of the campaign include complete transparency in competitive examinations, impartial and time-bound investigations into paper leak incidents, strict legal action against the guilty, completion of all recruitment processes within a stipulated timeframe, accountability in the evaluation system, and a mechanism for the swift and transparent redressal of student grievances.
Representatives of the campaign stated that education is not merely a means to secure employment but the strongest foundation for nation-building. If the youth lose faith in the examination and recruitment system, it would result in a massive loss not only for the students but for the future of the nation itself. Therefore, the need of the hour is to develop an examination and recruitment system grounded in the principles of integrity, transparency, equal opportunity, and accountability.
The "Chhatron Ki Goonj" campaign will continue to strive—through democratic and constitutional means—to amplify the voice of every student in the country, ensure respect for their hard work, and secure justice for their dreams. For only when the future of the youth is secure will India's future also be secure, strong, and bright.
