Journalists Felicitated for Outstanding Journalism at Devarshi Narada Jayanti Function
Haryana/Hisar: Mahesh Mahta, the editor of Hisar Today, was honored for his outstanding journalistic services during the Devarshi Narada Jayanti Celebrations and Journalist Meet program. The event was jointly organized under the aegis of Guru Gorakhnath Ji Government College and the Vishva Samvad Kendra, Hisar. The chief guests presented him with a memento and wrapped a ceremonial stole (patka) around him to mark the honor.
The program was centered on the theme "The Role of Journalism in Social Change," drawing a large gathering of senior journalists, academicians, and social workers from the district. The keynote speaker and Co-State Publicity Chief, Vikrant ji, described journalism as a strong cornerstone of nation-building. He emphasized that unbiased and positive journalism serves the vital purpose of guiding society in the right direction.
Sharing his insights, the Chief Guest and Joint Commissioner of GST, Krishna Kumar, termed journalism a powerful pillar of democracy. He stated that journalists play a crucial role in raising public awareness and bringing matters of public interest to light.
On this occasion, journalists representing various media houses in Hisar were felicitated, with Mahesh Mahta being prominently recognized among them. The program concluded with the National Anthem and resounding chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."
