Jaito, December 19:- Under the directions of Dr. Pragya Jain SSP Faridkot, a special campaign has been launched against criminal elements and drug peddlers in Faridkot district. Under this, achieving another big success, under the guidance of Shri Jogeshwar Singh Goraya SP (Investigation) Faridkot and under the direction of Shri Avtar Singh DSP (Investigation) Faridkot, CIA staff Jaito has arrested 02 accused involved in a drug-weapons module along with an illegal weapon and 10 grams of heroin.
The arrested accused have been identified as Preet Singh alias Gagandeep and Arbaaz Khan alias Nikka, who are residents of Sada Patti in Jaito area of ??Faridkot district. The police party has also seized the Bajaj CT-100 motorcycle present with the accused.
According to the information, on December 18, under the supervision of Thanedar Charanjit Singh in-charge CIA staff Jaito, along with the police party, Holder Gurvinder Singh was present at the Link Road Dabrikhana for checking, then these two persons were seen standing near the dirt track on the Link Road near the dirt track, who were arrested by the police party without any suspicion and searched. 10 grams of heroin and 01 country-made pistol 32 bore along with 02 live rounds were recovered from the accused.
In this regard, a case number 208 dated 18.12.2025 has been registered at Jaito police station under sections 21(b)/61/85 of the NDPS Act and section 25 of the Arms Act. During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that both the accused were involved in heroin smuggling. The police are conducting a complete investigation into the network, associates and supply links of the accused so that this gang can be completely exposed. It is also worth mentioning here that when the criminal records of the arrested accused were checked, it was revealed that even before this, 03 cases were registered against the accused Preet Singh alias Gagandeep under attempt to murder, theft and other sections. The accused arrested in the said case are being produced before the honorable court and remanded so that the backward and forward links of the accused can be thoroughly investigated. Faridkot Police is running a vigorous campaign to eradicate drugs.
