Iran launches missile attack on UAE three Indians injured airspace closed after attacks

Iran: Iran launched missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates in which three Indians were injured. Following these attacks, the UAE has imposed strict restrictions on flights in its airspace. According to the warnings and notices issued by the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority, now aircraft will be allowed to fly only through certain approved routes, which will continue till May 11. Three Indian citizens have been injured in these attacks. Tensions have escalated due to the threat of a ceasefire between Iran and the US in the world's most important sea route, the Strait of Hormuz. The US military has launched a major operation to safely evacuate commercial aircraft stranded in this route on Monday.
Admiral Brad Cooper, head of the US Central Command, said that Iran took an aggressive stance in the Hormuz region on Monday, after which US helicopters sank six small Iranian boats that were targeting commercial vessels. According to Cooper, Iran had attempted to attack with several cruise missiles and drones, but the US security umbrella thwarted all these threats.
On the other hand, a drone attack on an oil pipeline facility in Fujairah, UAE, caused a massive fire. Local officials have confirmed that three Indian citizens have been moderately injured in the incident, who have been admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, the British military has also reported a fire on a cargo ship near the UAE coast.
US President Donald Trump has also invited South Korea to join this security operation. Trump claimed that Iran had also targeted a South Korean ship. Due to this tension, crude oil prices have surged in the world market and the price of Brent crude has crossed $110 per barrel. The United Nations has expressed concern over the increasing military activity in the region and has appealed for the restoration of freedom of maritime navigation.
