Iran Attacks French Ship in Hormuz Injuring Several Crew Members
Tel Aviv/Tehran/Washington:- There is news of an attack on a French ship in Hormuz. According to CNN, French shipping company CMA CGM reported that one of its cargo ships has been attacked, injuring several crew members. According to the company, its San Antonio was passing through Hormuz on Tuesday when it was hit by a missile or drone.
The ship was damaged and several crew members were injured. The company said that the injured crew members have been safely evacuated and are being treated. Trump has suspended "Project Freedom", the operation that the US launched on Monday to safely evacuate ships from the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the New York Times, Trump said that Pakistan had requested to stop the operation. Meanwhile, Iranian state media hailed it as a victory. The US was able to safely evacuate two ships on Monday under this operation, while before the war, an average of 130 ships passed through Hormuz every day.
