International Yoga Day to be celebrated at Police Line Ground on June 21

Hoshiarpur:- The district administration will celebrate International Yoga Day at the local Police Lines Ground on June 21. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nicas Kumar held a meeting with the officials at the Zila Parishad Complex regarding the preparations. Additional Deputy Commissioner Nicas Kumar said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, International Yoga Day will be celebrated at the Police Line Ground on June 21 from 7 to 8 am with the support of various organizations.
He said that registration will be held from 6.30 to 7 am. He said that the concerned officials should review the preparations of the program in time and ensure all the arrangements. It is worth mentioning that on the occasion of Yoga Day, yoga will be conducted by various trainers and information will be given about the role of yoga in staying healthy.
He appealed to the heads of all departments and people including social service organizations, police department, PRTC Jahan Khel, BSF Camp Khadka, college students, members of youth clubs to reach the Police Line Ground at 6.30 am on June 21 and participate in this district level Yoga Day in maximum numbers.
During this time, he also gave instructions to the concerned departments regarding refreshments, drinking water, cleanliness, first aid, traffic, tents and other arrangements. Assistant Commissioner Sumit Mudh and other officers were also present on the occasion.
