International Tiger Day celebrated
Ambala, July 29:- International Tiger Day was celebrated in the nursery wing of Police DAV Public School in Ambala city, which is celebrated every year on July 29. Its main objective is to save the tiger species from extinction around the world. To enhance this event, a tunnel was made using green scarves and a jungle theme was given which greatly encouraged the children.
The main objective of this event was to make the children aware about the tiger and explain that it is the national animal of India. Tigers are especially known for their speed, hunting ability and agility.
On this occasion, the children recited poems related to Save the Tiger and the young children performed a beautiful dance on the theme of Save the Tiger which was appreciated by everyone. The children were given the sounds of different animals and were asked to identify and name the animals. This effort was made to develop their listening skills which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The school principal Dr. Vikas Kohli appreciated the Save the Tiger programme presented by the children. He said that International Tiger Day reminds us that tigers, forests and humans are interconnected by nature. Tigers help maintain ecological balance and their survival depends on protected habitats, strong conservation efforts and public awareness. The tiger is the national animal of India. We must protect tigers and make efforts to save them from extinction.
