Ratia, November 10 - The general body meeting of the Disability Rights Forum Haryana was held at the Sati Mandir in Ratia under the chairmanship of State President and District President Surendra Kumar. Rishikesh Rajli, State General Secretary of the Disability Rights Forum Haryana, attended the meeting specially, and the meeting was conducted by District Secretary Surendra Jandli.
Addressing the meeting, State General Secretary Rishikesh Rajli said that the recent State Committee meeting of the Disability Rights Forum Haryana decided that this year, International Disability Day on December 3rd will be celebrated as a demand day at the district and block levels throughout Haryana. He said that before December 3rd, a delegation of the State Committee will meet with the Chief Minister of Haryana and submit a memorandum regarding the main demands of the disabled.
District President Surendra Kumar said in his address that International Disability Day will be celebrated with great pomp at the district level in Ratia on December 3rd. He said that on the occasion of Disability Day, a membership drive will be launched in villages of each block of Fatehabad district and disabled people will be invited to attend the programme in maximum numbers and disabled people with special achievements will also be honoured.
He said that despite 100% disabled people having bus passes and disability certificates, the conductors of private and roadways buses are forcibly issuing tickets to the disabled. The forum is receiving continuous complaints about this. He said that a complaint will be lodged with the higher authorities soon. In the meeting, it was decided to hold a conference of Bhuna block on 14th December.
On this occasion, District Secretary Surendra Jandali, District Vice President Ramniwas Tibbi, District Joint Secretary and Block Treasurer Karamjit Singh Padam, Ratia Block President Tek Chand, Bhuna Block President Ishwar Singh, Ratia Block Vice President Amrik Singh, Ratia Block Secretary Anil Bishnoi, Papal Kumar, Mangat Ram, Jaswant Singh, Udayveer, Suresh Kumar Chaibara, Rohtash Ranga and other members were present.
