Intense lobbying for Bihar cabinet both JDU and BJP want Speakers post
Patna:- Before the swearing-in ceremony of the new Bihar government, which is going to be held on November 20, intense lobbying is still going on among the NDA allies regarding the distribution of cabinet ministers and the post of Assembly Speaker. According to sources, efforts are on to reach a consensus on the post of Assembly Speaker, as both BJP and JDU are vying for this post. In the last assembly, BJP's Nand Kishore Yadav was the Speaker.
Senior JDU and BJP leaders are holding meetings in Delhi, where apart from the post of Speaker, the distribution of chief ministries is also the main agenda. According to sources, Vijay Chaudhary from JDU and Prem Kumar from BJP are the frontrunners for the post of Speaker. Maximum 16 ministers. (New faces may come compared to the previous cabinet).

The oath-taking ceremony will be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan. The Patna district administration has imposed a complete ban on the entry of the general public into the Gandhi Maidan till November 20. Elaborate security arrangements have been made, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other big NDA leaders, such as Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, are expected to attend the event.
