Instructions to resolve citizens problems on priority basis in Samadhan Shivir
Hansi:– In the Samadhan Shivir organized at the District Secretariat premises, Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kumar heard the problems of citizens and directed the officers of concerned departments to ensure their resolution on priority basis. Officers and employees of various departments were present in the Samadhan Shivir and citizens put their problems before the officers.
Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kumar seriously listened to the problems of the citizens who reached the Samadhan Shivir and took information from the concerned officers on the spot about the process of solving the problems. He directed the officers to ensure speedy resolution of complaints and problems raised by citizens.
He said that the main objective of the district administration is to provide the benefits of government services and schemes to citizens in a simple, easy and transparent manner. Samadhan Shivirs are being organized keeping this objective in mind, so that citizens do not have to run around different offices to solve their problems and their complaints can be resolved at one place.
While instructing the officers, the Naib Tehsildar said that those problems which can be solved on the spot should be solved immediately. Whereas, in cases where action is required from some other department or higher level, they should be sent to the concerned office and action should be ensured within the stipulated time period. He told the officers that the progress of each complaint should be monitored and citizens should also be informed about the status of resolution of their problem.
During the Samadhan Shivir, problems related to various departments including Family Identity Card, pension, ration card, electricity, drinking water, sanitation and rainwater drainage were put forth by citizens before the officers. Officers of the concerned departments listened to the problems of the citizens and took necessary action to resolve them.
Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kumar said that it is the responsibility of administrative officers and employees to work with sensitivity towards the problems of common people. He directed the officers to listen carefully to the problems of citizens coming to offices with cooperative behaviour and take effective action towards resolution as per rules.
He said that Samadhan Shivirs are an effective medium to establish direct dialogue between common people and administration. Through these camps, the administration gets information about the problems of citizens at the ground level and problems can be solved through better coordination between departments.
He clarified that unnecessary delay in resolution of citizens' complaints will not be accepted at any level. All departments should work with mutual coordination to provide better services to common people and ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach eligible citizens.
Citizens present in the Samadhan Shivir appreciated this initiative of the administration and said that they get a lot of convenience by placing their problems before officers at one place and starting the process of their resolution.
