Instructions to Increase Checking to Curb Illegal Mining
Karnal, 5 August:- A monthly meeting regarding mining was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma in the District Secretariat Auditorium. In it, he instructed the concerned officials to crack down on those involved in illegal mining and to increase checking.
In the meeting, District Mining Officer Sanchi informed that from 1st June to 31st July this year, 31 vehicles involved in illegal mining were seized and a fine of Rs 4 lakh 26 thousand 300 was collected. During this period, 25 FIRs were registered against those involved in illegal mining.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers of the concerned departments to speed up investigation and crack down on those involved in illegal mining. Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarniya said that the concerned departments should establish coordination, increase checking and take strict action against the culprits as per law.
DSP Rajeev Kumar, SDM of Asandh Sumit Sihag, Rajesh Soni of Gharaunda etc. were present in the meeting.
