Innovation Ignites at PECFEST 2025 Day Two Unleashes Technology Talent and Cultural Brilliance
Chandigarh: 22nd November 2025:- Day Two of PECFEST 2025 at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh unfolded with a dynamic blend of high-energy technical, cultural, and creative events, attracting an enthusiastic footfall of students, participants, and visitors. Day One had already set a dazzling tone with the Cultural Evening presentations of DJ Wars and Bhangra Theque, igniting the festive spirit across the campus.
This three-day extravaganza is organised under the visionary leadership of Dean Student Affairs, Dr. D. R. Prajapati (DSA), along with Dr. Puneet Chawla (ADSA) and the dedicated DSA Office. Dr. Prajapati has played a central role in shaping PECFEST 2025—supervising the conceptualization, coordination, and execution of events with remarkable precision.
During the inauguration on Day 1, he delivered an insightful and motivating address, elaborating on the structure, vision, and spirit of this year’s festival. He later joined Director Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia and Dr. Puneet Chawla (ADSA) in felicitating distinguished guests. His leadership, hands-on guidance, and consistent presence on ground have significantly contributed to the seamless organization and grand success of PECFEST 2025.
The day’s highlights spanned across diverse domains, creating an atmosphere buzzing with intellect and creativity. The PR Writing event challenged participants to think strategically, while the Cubing Competition tested speed and precision. Netagiri showcased impactful public-speaking talent through lively political simulations, and the IPL Auction by EIC offered a thrilling real-time experience of analytical thinking and team bidding dynamics.
Complementing these were the Quirky Quiz, Trivia Targets, and Youth Parliament, which encouraged knowledge exchange, spirited debate, and critical thinking—hallmarks of PEC’s academic culture.
Technical enthusiasts were offered an impressive array of engineering and innovation-based competitions. Robo Rampage attracted robotics lovers with high-intensity challenges, while Aqua Jet featured hydrodynamic engineering creativity in action. The Spaghetti Bridge Competition tested structural design and load-bearing strength, whereas the Earthquake-Resistant Building Competition showcased brilliant civil engineering concepts focused on real-world resilience.
Cutting-edge tech brilliance continued with LLM Graveyard, a unique and engaging event exploring the capabilities and quirks of large language models, and Code Strike Go, a competitive coding battlefield that drew some of the brightest programming minds. Adding to this lineup, the Tech Expo and Defence Expo by the Indian Army offered students hands-on exposure to modern technology, innovation, and defence equipment, pulling massive crowds throughout the day.
Creative energies soared with ArtWalk, Poetry All Day, Graffiti Wall, Kala Kriti, and an exciting Treasure Hunt, all of which allowed students to express artistic brilliance and imagination across various mediums.
A major highlight, XeroThrottle, the national-level RC racing event organized by the Aerospace Technical Society, delivered a spectacular adrenaline-filled experience. With more than 25+ teams from across India, the event showcased custom-built RC planes competing in acceleration tracks, precision handling challenges, obstacle navigation, and top-speed performance—celebrating innovation, teamwork, and engineering excellence.
As Day Two transitions into the evening, the excitement is set to rise with another edition of Glitterati, followed by a soulful live band performance by The Yellow Diary and an engaging stand-up comedy act by Kaustubh Agarwal, promising an unforgettable cultural experience.
