IndiGo suspends longhaul flights Copenhagen service to be suspended from February 17
New Delhi: Citing external operational constraints, IndiGo airline has announced major changes to its long-haul flights. Under this, services on the Mumbai-Copenhagen route will be suspended from February 17 until further orders.
According to the airline, due to uncertainty in Iranian airspace and increasing congestion at international airports, the arrival and departure times of flights have increased significantly. Due to this, the schedule of the company's six Dreamliner (Boeing 787-9) aircraft was being adversely affected, which has been taken to improve this drastic step.
Apart from Copenhagen, the number of flights from Delhi to London Heathrow and Manchester has also been reduced. Delhi-Manchester flights will be reduced to only three days a week from February 19, while London flights have also been reduced to four a week.
In addition, flights to cities like Tbilisi, Almaty, Tashkent and Baku have already been canceled until February 28 due to the inability to use Iranian airspace. The company says this decision has been taken to save passengers from inconvenience and delays.
