Indian Tejas fighter jet crashes at Dubai Air Show pilot killed
Dubai: An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during a demonstration flight at the Dubai Air Show on Friday. The Air Force issued a statement saying that the pilot also died in the accident. At 2:10 pm local time, the Tejas was performing a demonstration flight when the aircraft suddenly lost control and crashed.
As soon as it hit the ground, there was a loud explosion, and within moments, a plume of black smoke rose into the air. Security agencies immediately started rescue operations. A large number of people, including women and children, had come to attend the Dubai Air Show. The crowd witnessed the plane crash, and the sudden rise of smoke caused panic.
According to local media in Dubai, eyewitnesses said that helicopters and fire brigades reached the spot immediately after the accident, and the fire was brought under control. The entire incident was brought under control in about 45 minutes. There is no clear information yet on whether the program will resume or not.
