Indian Rupee hits record low
Mumbai:- The Indian rupee today closed at a fresh low of 89.95 (temporary) against the dollar, down 42 paise. The rupee's value has been affected by heavy selling in domestic stock markets and a surge in crude oil prices amid the unstable political situation.
On the other hand, the US dollar had fallen to Rs 90 during the day. Forex traders said that there is an atmosphere of uncertainty regarding foreign funds leaving the country and trade between India and the US. Due to this, there was a negative trend in the Indian markets today, due to which the Sensex and Nifty recorded a sharp decline.
