Important meeting of HaryanaPunjab Chief Ministers on SYL
Chandigarh, January 27:- An important meeting was held between the Chief Ministers of both the states in Chandigarh on Tuesday regarding the subject of SYL between Haryana and Punjab. The subject was discussed in detail in the meeting. Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Mrs. Shruti Chaudhary and Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal were also present in the meeting.
After the meeting, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini and Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann held a joint conference and informed about the meeting.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji has given the gift of Pawan Guru Pani Pita Mata Dharat Mahat. This is the holy land of the Gurus and the teachings of the Gurus are still invaluable gems for us, which are our guides.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that this meeting was completed in a very active and harmonious atmosphere. When the talks are held in a good atmosphere, then its result is also meaningful.
The Chief Minister said that the two rulers have mutually decided that meetings will be organized at the level of officials of the Irrigation Department for further detailed discussion on the issue related to SYL so that a practical and permanent solution can be taken forward.
He said that as per the guidelines of the Hon'ble High Court, continuous meetings are being organized and today's meeting was also organized in the same direction. Earlier also, a meeting has been held under the mediation of Union Water Resources Minister Mr. CR Patil.
During the conference, Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann said that today's meeting was held in a very good atmosphere and it has been agreed that first the officials of both the rulers will meet together on this issue.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Chief Secretary of Punjab, Mr. K. P. Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Mr. Anurag Agarwal and other senior officials of both the states were also present. Apart from these, the Advocate General of both the states were also present.
