Garhshankar- On 24 October 2025, a delegation of the All India Kisan Sabha met DSP Shri Daljit Singh Khakh and submitted a memorandum. Companions Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, Darshan Singh Mattu demanded that the illegal mining taking place in Garhshankar Tehsil should be stopped. Overloaded tippers, trolleys should be challaned and stopped.
Mattu, Bhajjal demanded that the timing of tippers, trolleys, horses on Garhshankar Nangal Road should be strictly implemented from nine o'clock at night to six o'clock in the morning, if not, we will be forced to struggle. The responsibility of which will be with the government, mining department, Punjab Police.
Bibi Subhash Mattu, Chaudhary Sarvjit Singh were also present in this delegation. Demanded DSP Khakh Sahib to bring more traffic personnel. The DSP assured to accept the above demands.
