Iftu workers burned copies of the labor code

Nawanshahr:- On the call given by Iftu Punjab Committee under the name of 'Saturday Movement', Iftu burned copies of the labor code in front of Baradari Bagh in Nawanshahr and Iftu workers raised slogans against the Modi government.
Speaking on the occasion, Iftu Punjab State Executive Secretary Avtar Singh Tari, State Press Secretary Jasbir Deep, District Leader of Rural Workers Union Kamaljit Sanawa said that the four labor codes implemented by the central government are a very deadly attack on the working class of the country. They deprive the working class of its basic rights.
The workers had obtained these rights after making countless sacrifices. They deprive the working class of its right to form a union, the right to strike, eliminate employment security, eliminate permanent jobs, eliminate the accountability of employers towards the safety of workers.
They said that these code schemes are also a deadly attack on the interests of workers, gig workers, raw workers, outsourced workers, which should be strongly opposed. The leaders said that the government is spreading false propaganda that these labor codes are pro-labor. The leaders have called on the people to start this 'Saturday Movement' all over Punjab.
