Nawanshahr:- On the call of Safai Sewak Union Punjab, today the bandh in Nawanshahr got overwhelming response from IFTU. Auto Union (IFTU) and Rehri Workers Union (IFTU) participated in the protest by closing their businesses in support of sanitation workers. IFTU District Secretary Parveen Kumar Nirala said that Rehri Workers Union kept their fruit and kulcha rehris completely closed. 
Auto Workers Union also stopped work and participated in the bandh. Workers of these organizations first gathered at local auto stand and reached the gathering of sanitation workers. He said that Auto Rickshaw Workers Union and Rehri Workers Union had already decided to strike in favour of this bandh by holding meetings earlier.
