If Todays Meeting Remains Inconclusive the Struggle Will Be Intensified Kulwant Singh Saini
Hoshiarpur: Following a call by the Municipal Action Committee Punjab, employees working in corporations and municipal councils across the state are on strike. The government and local administration are putting pressure on union leaders to end the strike. However, the employees have explicitly stated that the strike will continue until the government issues an official notification addressing and resolving their demands.
Sharing this information, Action Committee Patron Kulwant Singh Saini said that although government representatives and the administration are pressuring them to call off the protest, this time the employees are in no mood to bow down and will only accept a victory in the fight for their rights.
He mentioned that the meeting held two days ago remained completely inconclusive, leading the government to propose another meeting on Monday, May 18. Representatives from the Action Committee, Safai Karamchari Union, and other allied unions will participate in this dialogue. He warned that if the government fails to accept their demands during this meeting, the agitation will be further intensified, and the aggrieved workers will not rest until their rights are fully secured.
On this occasion, President Karanjot Aadia, Somnath Aadia, Vikramjit, Gopal Kishan, Joginderpal, Arun Kumar, Harvinder, Neeraj Hans, Balram Bhatti, Hira Lal, Pradeep Kumar, Harbilas, Dev Kumar, Ashok Kumar Hans, Rajinder Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Subhash Chander, Baldev Kumar, Deepak, and others were present.
