Hyderabad House India and Vietnam sign 13 agreements

New Delhi:- Visiting Vietnamese President To Lam addressed a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Wednesday. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said, "Last year, when the sacred Buddhist relics were sent from India to Vietnam, more than 15 million people visited them. We will digitally preserve the manuscripts of the Champa civilization and preserve this invaluable heritage for future generations."
He said, "During my visit to Vietnam a decade ago, Vietnam became India's first 'Comprehensive Strategic Partner' in ASEAN. Since then, our relations have progressed rapidly in all areas. In addition to civilizational ties, our trade, technology and tourism ties have also strengthened. Building on this strong foundation, today we are elevating our relations to the level of 'Modern Comprehensive Strategic Partnership'. Bilateral trade between India and Vietnam has doubled to $16 billion in the last decade."
In addition, he began his visit to India from Bodh Gaya. It reflects the shared civilizational and spiritual traditions of our two countries. Through his visit and our fruitful discussions, we are translating our mutual goodwill into tangible results. Both heritage and development are at the heart of the partnership between India and Vietnam.
The Prime Minister said, "I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to President To Lam in India. His visit to India, accompanied by a high-level delegation and several business leaders, clearly demonstrates his priority for India-Vietnam relations."
