Una, December 30: A public interaction program was organized by the Electricity Board Circle Una on Tuesday under the aegis of the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC). The objective of this program was to create awareness among the general public about schemes, facilities, and solutions to problems related to the power sector.
On this occasion, detailed information was provided on the benefits of rooftop solar, and consumers were encouraged to adopt solar energy. Superintending Engineer Darshan Singh informed the public about the reduction in line losses, smart metering, and other ongoing schemes under the Central Government's RDSS scheme.
During the program, the citizens and industry representatives present raised their electricity-related problems before the officials, and assurances were given for their immediate resolution and prompt redressal.
The program was attended by Superintending Engineer Darshan Singh, Senior Executive Engineer Yashwinder Singh, and Assistant Engineer Kamal Kishore of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, along with public representatives and industry representatives, including Bodh Raj from village Basdehra, Municipal Council member Amrik Singh, President of Mehatpur Industrial Area Chaman Singh Kapoor, and industrialists Baltej Singh and Narendra Josen from Mehatpur Industrial Area.
