Jaipur- In Jaipur, a speeding dumper truck hit 17 vehicles one after the other. 13 people died in the accident. The bodies of many of the deceased were mutilated. Some had their legs amputated, some had their arms amputated. Ten were injured in the accident. Six seriously injured were admitted to the SMS Hospital Trauma Center.
Police said that the accident took place on Monday afternoon in Loha Mandi, Harmada. Around 1 pm, the dumper was going towards Loha Mandi petrol pump from Road No. 14 to join the highway.
During this, it hit the vehicles. People caught the dumper driver on the spot. He was drunk. The driver, Kalyan Meena, is a resident of Viratnagar and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Head Constable Ravinder said that the dumper was empty and was heading towards Road No. 14. It was hitting people about 300 meters away on Loha Mandi Road. Several vehicles and people were hit. The victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
