Honoring martyrs is top priority Rao Inderjit Singh

Chandigarh, May 31:- Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation and Culture Rao Inderjit Singh on Sunday inaugurated the statue of Amar Shaheed Arun Kumar Yadav in village Khandoda of Rewari district. Shaheed Arun Kumar Yadav had sacrificed his life while serving the country on October 4, 2023, while demonstrating his bravery and valor in an attempt to save the common people and his colleagues in a natural disaster that occurred during his duty in Sikkim.
On this occasion, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar, Kosli MLA Anil Yadav and BJP District President Vandana Popli were specially present. The Union Minister also announced to provide Rs 21 lakh for the development of villages.
Rao Inderjit Singh said that it is the duty of every citizen to honor the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the protection of the country. He said that Shaheed Arun Kumar Yadav has set an inspiring example for the youth by giving his all in the service of the country. He was also awarded 8 medals by the army for his best contribution, which shows his immense courage. He also served with courage and bravery for a year in Lebanon under the United Nations Interim Force. The countrymen will always remember his sacrifice and the coming generations will continue to take inspiration from him to be patriotic and fulfill their duty.
The Union Minister said that since time immemorial, the youth of South Haryana have been at the forefront of protecting the country by joining the army. He also appreciated those mothers and sisters who have got their children and brothers enrolled in the army and deployed them on the border for the protection of the country.
On this occasion, the Union Minister also assured the mother, wife and children of Shaheed Arun Kumar Yadav that the government is standing with them at every step. During the function, a memorandum was also submitted by the villagers to name the government school after Shaheed Arun Kumar Yadav, connect the village ponds with canal water and other development related demands. The Union Minister listened to the demands of the villagers seriously and assured to consider the related issues sympathetically.
