Nawanshahr- A simple but impressive farewell ceremony was held at the school to honor Master Ajay Kumar Chahar Majara from Government High School Majara Kalan Khurd on his promotion as English lecturer. Speaking during the ceremony, School Head Neelam Kumari said that Mr. Ajay Kumar Chahar Majara was serving as a social education teacher in this school for the last 20 years and has been promoted as an English lecturer at SSS Jadla.
He has performed his duty with great honesty and discipline. He said that he is a highly qualified teacher who has done M in English, History, Punjabi and Political Science besides B.Ed. He has made a great contribution in constructing the school building and increasing the number of children in the school.
School teachers Rajiv Sharma and Chandan Sharma said that Mr. Ajay Kumar Chahar Majara is actively involved in social work along with teaching. He is also the District Vice President of Democratic Teachers Front. On his elevation, the school staff honored him, his wife Sarabjit Kaur and family with memento, loi and souvenirs during a grand farewell ceremony.
Ajay Kumar Chahar Majara also gave a cupboard to the school, gifts to grade four employees and stationery and sweets to the children. On this occasion, Daljinder Kaur Punjabi teacher, Neeru Bala Hindi teacher, Rajvinder Kaur English teacher, Sukhvinder Kaur Mathematics teacher, Santosh Kumari PTI, Prince Preeti, Pradeep Kumar, Rajvinder Kaur and Kamlesh Kaur etc. were also present.
