Karnal, November 14: Under the able guidance of the Director General of Police, Haryana, and the expert direction of the Superintendent of Police, Karnal, as part of Operation Track Down, a special campaign against illegal activities, the Crime Investigation Branch-1 team has successfully apprehended an accused with an illegal weapon.
The accused arrested with the illegal weapon is Akshay, son of Joginder, resident of village Khedi Naru, Karnal.
Investigation Unit Research Officer, Head Constable Amit Kumar, stated that the accused had purchased the illegal weapon from an unknown person in the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested in this case and a case was registered at the City Police Station under sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.
The accused also has previous cases of physical violence registered against him in Panipat district. He was produced before the Honorable Court today and remanded to judicial custody.
