Una, November 26. Hitesh Lakhanpal, a 2010 batch officer of the Himachal Police Service, assumed charge as Home Guard Commandant in Una on Wednesday. He has previously served in several important positions in the state police department. Prior to his new posting, he was Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Chamba.
Hitesh Lakhanpal has also served as DSP Dharamshala, DSP Mandi, DSP Hamirpur, and Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Corporation (Hamirpur). He has also served as Additional Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime), Additional Superintendent of Police (Kangra), and Additional Superintendent of Police (Chamba).
Hitesh Lakhanpal, originally from Bilaspur district, stated that strengthening disaster management, supporting law and order, and strengthening community-based security will be his priorities. He stated that every effort will be made to make the Home Guard organization in Una district more efficient, disciplined, and public service-oriented.
