History can be seen only in books Anurag Rastogi
Chandigarh, November 7 - Haryana Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi while inaugurating the book fair being organized in Panchkula today said that the nation will develop only when the new generation reads. History can be seen only in books. Therefore, today's youth will have to connect with the culture of reading even in the cyber age. He said that in the cyber age, only thirst makes the intellect happy. Therefore, to become a better human being, the youth should read good books and decide their role in nation building.
It is noteworthy that on the initiative of the Energy Culture Committee, inspired by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Naib Singh Saini, the fourth book fair was inaugurated today at the premises of Indradhanush Auditorium in Panchkula on the joint initiative of the Energy Department, Police Department, Haryana Urban Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Women and Child Development Department, Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Akshay Energy Department, Transport Department and Education Department, District Administration Panchkula. This program will continue till November 13.
On this occasion, the special guest, former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Gian Chand Gupta, said that this event is the foundation stone of the overall development of Panchkula.
While leading the program, Principal Secretary, Energy Department Shri Shyamal Mishra said that books take the society from darkness to light. This knowledge festival is giving Panchkula the sky of new intellectual heights.
On this occasion, Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Electricity Distribution Mr. Maniram Sharma said that earlier 26 libraries were being operated by the corporation. Today 9 libraries have been inaugurated. Now the path of literary upliftment is being paved through the operation of 35 libraries.
