Healthy people are essential for a selfreliant and developed nation Acharya Devvrat
Karnal: Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra, said that healthy people are essential for a self-reliant and developed nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, expressed his justified concern over the rising obesity rate among citizens.
How can India become self-reliant and developed if its citizens are not in good health, spend a significant portion of their income on medicines, and are unable to perform even daily tasks? He stated that children are the future leaders of society and the builders of the nation. The more cultured these children are, the more the nation will progress.
The Governor was speaking as the chief guest at the annual festival, Sadgamaya, at the Gurukul in Sidhpur (Nilokheri) today. Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Devvrat said that the children did not miss a single day of class to perform physical activities during the program. Studies and other routines continued as usual. As a result of these activities, all the children at Gurukul are physically fit.
The children studying at Gurukul are truly iron men. Many have lost weight by adopting a proper daily routine. They go to bed and wake up on time, exercise daily, and eat a balanced diet. On the other hand, many children studying in convent schools collapse during prayer meetings. They do not engage in any physical exercise. They are fed chow mein, pizza, burgers, momos, and what not. In such a situation, how can one think of building a future? Drug addiction is also on the rise among children.
**Focus on Three Points
The Governor said that children are the greatest asset. Nothing is dearer to parents than their children. Children are not getting a proper environment in society. Children are addicted to mobile phones. Even when parents try to stop them, they do not treat them properly. There is no system in place for building children's personal lives.
However, the focus of the five Gurukuls run by the management committee remains on three points: education, physical activities, and values. Through these Gurukuls, they aim to create children who understand their responsibility towards their parents, family, society, and nation. They become virtuous and cultured, and society should also appreciate their work ethic. The children here are tasked with accumulating wealth for their future lives.
Children are the leaders of future society and the builders of the nation. The more cultured these children are, the more the nation will progress. He stated that all five Gurukuls are equally engaged in the upliftment of children.
**Construction of a Cowshed
He stated that a cowshed for 200 cows has been constructed in Sidhpur. Natural farming will be done here using cow urine and cow dung. Children will be able to access milk from these cows starting November 1st. Approximately 50 acres of land has been leased for ten years. Efforts are underway to ensure that children have access to poison-free food.
Gurukul Jyotisar Ranks First in Rankings Acharya Devvrat stated that Education World, an organization that ranks schools, has ranked Gurukul Jyotisar as the first institution in Haryana and seventh in the country. Gurukul Sidhpur ranks second in the state and ninth in the country.
**Appeal to Send Children to Gurukul on Time
He appealed to parents to ensure their children leave Gurukul on time after holidays. Leave should be taken only when absolutely necessary. Marriages should be scheduled during holidays when children are on vacation. Avoid the trap of finding auspicious dates.
**CBSE Chairman Emphasizes on New Inventions
On this occasion, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh stated that we want India to once again become the mother of inventions. Jugaad will no longer suffice. China is four times ahead of India in terms of inventions. We must move forward in innovation by encouraging experimentation. The Board is also seriously considering moving beyond the evaluation process of children to assessing their understanding.
**Social media addiction must be reduced - Dr. Rajendra
Dr. Rajendra Narnavre, Principal Secretary to the Governor (Maharashtra), praised the children's performance. He said that although we are moving forward in the new era of AI and IT, social media addiction must be reduced. He emphasized the importance of moral values ??along with bookish knowledge.
At the annual festival, the chief guest honored the winners of academic, sports, and cultural activities. He honored Dr. Prashant Narnavre and CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh with shawls and mementos.
The children of the Gurukul performed yoga, dumbbells, mallakhamb, and Surya Namaskar. The Governor inspected the parade and took the salute. Principal Arjun Dev presented the annual report. Dr. Rajendra Vidyalankar, industrialist Dr. Nishikant Desh Pandey, Mahendra, Shivkumar, and others were present on the occasion.
