Health teams of Boothgarh conduct HPV vaccination activities
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 24:- Under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Boothgarh Dr. Alkjot Kaur, special HPV vaccination activities were conducted in high-risk areas under Block Boothgarh.
During this, teams of the Health Department visited brick kilns, construction sites of Omax and other migrant laborers' settlements and informed eligible girls and their parents about the benefits of HPV vaccine. The teams made them aware in detail about the importance of HPV vaccine in the prevention of cervical cancer and appealed to get vaccinated.
Dr. Alkjot said that the aim of the Health Department is to ensure access of HPV vaccine to every eligible girl, especially to those families who live in brick kilns, construction sites and other temporary residential areas. He said that such areas are being continuously monitored by health teams so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of vaccination.
He appealed to the people to stay away from rumours and cooperate in making their girls safe from serious diseases in the future by getting them vaccinated against HPV.
