Health Minister inaugurates RoboSuite at Park Hospital Mohali

Mohali, January 30: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Friday inaugurated North India's first AI-powered integrated Robo-Suite at Park Grecian Hospital, Mohali.
Dr. Balbir Singh said that the Punjab government has recently launched the Chief Minister's Health Scheme, which will provide free treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh per family, covering more than 2000 treatment packages for over 3 crore residents of Punjab.
Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh Saluja at Park Grecian Hospital, Mohali, said, "This Robo-Suite is a next-generation surgical platform equipped with robotic arms, eyes, and hands that provide unprecedented precision, efficiency, and improved patient outcomes."
Dr. Bhanu said that the number of joint replacement surgeries in India is increasing day by day. Now, robotic knee replacement surgery, empowered by 3D augmented reality and artificial intelligence, is completed in just 12-15 minutes. It does not require much blood transfusion, stitches, or drains. This surgery is performed using a small incision method of only 3.5-4 inches. Patients can walk 4 hours after the surgery. Patients can climb stairs the next day, and full recovery occurs within 7-10 days.
With the launch of the AI-powered Robo-Suite, Park Grecian Hospital has become the first hospital in North India to operate a fully integrated robotic surgical ecosystem, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, accessibility, and excellence in healthcare delivery. This milestone represents not only the introduction of advanced technology but also a transformation in how surgery is performed and experienced throughout the region.
