Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao held a public hearing
Chandigarh, October 8 - A large number of people today reached the residence of Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao in Chandigarh and placed their problems and complaints before her.
She listened to each person seriously and directed the officials of the concerned departments to take immediate action.
In the public hearing, people from all over the state placed their complaints related to health services, benefits of government schemes, provision of electricity and water, education, employment and local development works. The Health Minister listened to everyone's problems carefully and assured that they would be resolved soon.
On this occasion, Aarti Singh Rao said that it is the priority of the state government that the benefits of schemes and facilities reach every citizen without any discrimination. She said that the poor, farmers, laborers and needy families should get the benefits of government schemes in a transparent and simple manner.
The Health Minister directed the officials to give top priority to quality and transparency in public-facing work. He clarified that development works should be expedited and accountability should be ensured. He also warned that negligence or laxity would not be tolerated at any level.
He said that such public hearings strengthen the dialogue between the government and the public and provide an opportunity to identify the current problems of the common people and solve them. He assured that the government will continue to strive to meet the expectations of the public.
