HCS Exam 14616 candidates will appear at 48 centers in Karnal

Karnal, April 21: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma held a meeting with officials regarding the HCS exam to be held in Karnal on April 26 and provided necessary instructions to the duty magistrate, flying squad, and center superintendent. He stated that it is everyone's responsibility to conduct this exam successfully and peacefully; no negligence should be shown.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking at a meeting of district officials regarding the HCS exam in the auditorium of Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College on Tuesday. He stated that the Haryana Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious examinations in the state. It is being conducted by the Haryana Public Service Commission. Forty-eight centers have been set up in Karnal for this exam. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Candidates can enter the examination centers from 8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m., while in the second shift, entry will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. He said that conducting the examination in a transparent manner is an important goal for all of us. All officers must perform their duties with complete devotion and avoid any negligence. Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rahul Raiya has been appointed as the nodal officer for the examination.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that officers should carefully read the guidelines issued by the Haryana Public Service Commission regarding the HCS examination and ensure their compliance. He directed the District Education Officer to submit a report regarding the condition and facilities of the examination centers established in the district. In addition, all duty magistrates and supervisors should also inspect the respective examination centers and review the arrangements.
He directed the Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Karnal, to ensure proper sanitation, toilets, electricity, and drinking water at the Dharamshalas and community centers established in Karnal city to ensure accommodation for candidates coming from other districts to appear for the HCS examination. He also directed the City Magistrate to establish a control room for the examination.
He directed that a list of police officers and employees assigned to the examination be shared with the duty magistrate, supervisor, and center superintendent. Furthermore, traffic management should be maintained smoothly on the day of the examination so that no student is deprived of the examination due to traffic jams. He also clarified that the presence of police personnel is mandatory during the transportation and return of papers from the treasury to the examination center.
He also instructed coaching center operators not to engage in any activities during the HCS examination that may raise questions about the transparency of the examination. If any such activity is observed, an FIR will be filed against the concerned person immediately.
He also directed the GM Roadways to ensure adequate bus availability for candidates from the district traveling to other districts to take the exam and ensure their departure on time. Additionally, local bus arrangements should be made for candidates.
Officials should inspect the cleanliness of the rooms, drinking water, toilets, CCTV, etc. in advance: ADC
HCS exam nodal officer and ADC Dr. Rahul Raiya said that all officers should visit their centers before the exam. They should inspect the proper seating arrangements, drinking water, toilets, CCTV cameras, jammers, biometric machines, etc. in advance.
He said that identity cards will be distributed to every employee and officer on duty. All exam invigilators and other officers should report to their duties on time. Candidates with roll numbers should be allowed to sit in the room where they are assigned.
Videography should be conducted during paper distribution and collection. He said that the CCTV cameras installed at the center should be installed in such a way that every candidate appearing for the exam can be seen.
Clocks should be installed in all rooms of the examination center: ADC
ADC Dr. Rahul Raiya said that officials should ensure that clocks are installed in all rooms of the examination center and that all clocks have the same time. Class IV employees posted at the examination center should also be issued ID cards. Furthermore, no one will be allowed to carry mobile phones into the examination center.
Examination invigilators will also deposit their mobile phones with the center superintendent. City Magistrate Monica Sharma and District Education Officer Rohtash Verma, along with other examination-related officials, were present on this occasion.
