Haryanas big initiative towards realizing the vision of Developed India2047
Chandigarh, May 29:- Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana government is working rapidly towards implementing the vision of Developed India-2047 of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In this context, the state government has prepared the 'Developed Haryana Vision Document', under which a clear roadmap and phased action plan are being prepared for each department till the year 2030-31.
He said that this is not just a policy document, but a comprehensive strategy to make Haryana a national leader in the field of industrial, technological, agricultural and employment in the coming years. The Chief Minister himself is regularly reviewing the action plans for the coming 5 years, so that the set goals can be achieved on time. In the first phase, a development plan is being prepared up to the year 2030-31, after which different phased action plans will be prepared for every 5 years.
Rao Narbir Singh said that recently the Cabinet has approved 10 new industrial policies with the aim of promoting investment, employment, artificial intelligence, electronics, export and agro-based industries. Including all these policies, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini will formally launch the new Haryana Industrial Policy-2026 from Gurugram on June 1, 2026. This new policy will replace HEEP-2020.
He said that the new policies include Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026, Haryana Electronics System Design and Manufacturing Policy-2026, Haryana Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Manufacturing Policy-2026, Haryana Toys and Sports Equipment Manufacturing Policy-2026, Haryana Electronics Waste Recycling Policy-2026, Haryana Global Capability Centres Policy-2026, Haryana IT/ITES, AI and Emerging Technology Policy-2026, Haryana AVGC-XR Policy-2026, New Haryana Data Centre Policy-2026 and Haryana Agri Business and Agro Processing Policy-2026.
The Industries Minister said that through these new industrial policies, there is a possibility of generating investment of about Rs 5 lakh crore and more than 10 lakh employment opportunities in the state by 2030-31. He said that the Chief Minister had announced to set up 10 new IMTs in the budget speech for the year 2025-26, out of which 5 have been approved.
He said that proposals have been invited from farmers on the e-Bhoomi portal for the proposed IMTs in Tosham, Jind, Rewari, Faridabad and Rai. Along with this, to encourage small and medium investors, HSIIDC has decided to implement the 'Land on Lease' policy in its industrial plots, under which industrial plots will be made available to investors on long-term lease.
Rao Narbir Singh said that the proposed 10 IMTs Out of these, 3 will be developed in the National Capital Region, the main focus of which will be the KMP Expressway. Apart from this, the 5 new cities to be developed will become the center of attraction of developed India and will also play an important role in reducing the burden of increasing population on Delhi. He said that Haryana, which was the pioneer of the Green Revolution, has today established Gurugram as an IT Hub and has made its mark at the global level. In the coming time, when 10 new IMTs will be developed, then Haryana will emerge as the pinnacle of the country's industrial revolution.
