Haryana youth excels in regional skills competition wins 33 medals enhances states pride
Chandigarh, March 15:- The talented youth of Haryana once again displayed their skills and abilities and performed brilliantly by winning 33 medals, including 8 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals, in the regional skills competition held at BLNL Ground, Agra on the last day. On the occasion of the closing ceremony, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Shri Jayant Chaudhary appreciated the excellent performance of the Haryana participants and congratulated all the winners. He motivated the competitors to continue their good performance in future competitions as well.
Haryana Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Minister Shri Gaurav Gautam congratulated all the winners on the excellent performance of the youth and said that the youth of Haryana have made the state proud with their excellent performance. He said that the Central Government is continuously taking concrete steps to make the youth strong and self-reliant. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, besides promoting skill development across the country, numerous initiatives are being taken to connect the youth with new technologies.
He said that the state government under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini is also committed to making the youth technically competent. In this direction, a Skill University is being established in the state and modern and employable technical courses are being conducted for the youth in various technical institutions so that they can hone their skills in line with the changing needs of the times and get better employment opportunities.
He also wished the participants for the upcoming national and international competitions. In this competition, the youth of the state participated in 49 skills out of a total of 63 skills and presented a good example of their technical skills, dedication and hard work by winning medals in 33 skills. This achievement has proved that the youth of Haryana are also rapidly making their mark in modern and emerging skill areas.
He said that in this competition, participants from different states of the region demonstrated their expertise in various trades and emerging skill areas. This excellent performance of the participants from Haryana reflects the state's strong skill development system and the continuous efforts being made to provide reliable training to the youth.
He said that the winners of the regional skill competition will now participate in the prestigious India Skills Competition, where the best participants from across the country will showcase their skills. The participants who perform well at the national level will go on to represent India in the World Skills Competition organized on the international stage, through which they will be able to showcase their talent at the global level.
He said that with the aim of encouraging the youth, the Haryana Government has also announced an incentive amount for the best performing participants. Under this, a cash award of Rs. 5 lakh will be given to the participants who win medals at the national level and Rs. 10 lakh to the participants who win medals at the international level. This will further encourage the participation of youth in skill competitions.
