Haryana Sahitya Akademi to Host Literary Award Ceremony on June 24
Ratia, June 22: The Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Akademi is organizing a book award ceremony on June 24 at 11:00 AM in the 'Maharaja Dahirsen Auditorium' at the Akademi building. Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, the Executive President of the Akademi, stated that the Hon'ble Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Shri Harvinder Kalyan, will honor the litterateurs. He added that Shri Bharat Bhushan Bharti, OSD to the Chief Minister of Haryana, will preside over the ceremony, and Shri Ghanshyam Das Arora, MLA, will attend as a special guest.
Harpal Singh Gill, Director of the Punjabi Department, stated that on this occasion, authors will be honored with book awards and story competition awards for outstanding works across various genres of the Punjabi language. A schedule will soon be finalized for the next phase of honoring recipients of the Haryana Punjabi Gaurav Award, Mahakavi Bhai Santokh Singh Award, Baba Sheikh Farid Award, Sant Taran Singh Vahmi Award, Kavi Harbhajan Singh Rainu Award, Bibi Jagir Kaur Sandhu Women's Award, Hari Singh Dilbar Memorial National Award, Punjabi Journalism Award, and the Ragi/Dhadhi/Folk Singer Award. The recipients of the book and short story competition awards include Darshan Singh (Kurukshetra), Dr. Indu Gupta (Faridabad), Charan Pudhi (Kaithal), Davinder Mohan (Ambala City), Dr. Kulwinder Singh (Kurukshetra), Nirmal Singh Naukwal (Pinjore), Santokh Singh Ambalvi (Ambala City), Jasbir Singh Sahni, Rupinder Kaur (Kaithal), Trilochan Meer (Kaithal), Raghubir Singh Bajwa (Sirsa), Karamjit Diyon (Ellenabad), Dr. Balwan Aujla (Ambala Cantt), Dr. Surinder Singh (Kaithal), Gurpreet Kaur Saini (Hisar), Gurpreet Kaur (Ambala City), Dr. Sonia (Ambala Cantt), Meena Naveen (Ambala Cantt), Anupinder Singh Anup (Panipat), Dr. Sarvjit Kaur (Kurukshetra), Neer (Gurugram), Balwinder Kaur Khurana (Gurugram), Anil Kumar (Kaithal), Dr. Kulwinder Singh (Fatehabad), Dr. Indu Gupta (Faridabad), Darshan Singh (Kurukshetra), Veer Singh Thind (Sirsa), Gurinder Singh (Kurukshetra), Vinod Pankaj (Panchkula), Pavinder Kumar (Rania), Usha Rani (Panchkula), Dr. Pargat Singh Jathul (Jhajjar), Anil Kumar (Kaithal), Jatinder Mohan (Sirsa), Pankaj Sharma (Ambala City), and Lajpat Rai Garg (Panchkula).
