Haryana Ice Skating Association Players Shine in Dehradun Bijender Lohan

Hansi: Haryana secured third place in the India Short Track Speed ??Skating Open 2025 national competition held at the Himadri Ice Skating Rink in Dehradun, winning several medals. Twenty states participated in the competition, with Maharashtra securing first place, Telangana second, and Haryana third.
Giving this information, Haryana Ice Skating Association State President Bijender Lohan and Indian team manager and General Secretary of Haryana Ice Skating Association Deepak Kohad said that in the India Open Short Track Speed ??Skating Open 2025 competition, which commenced under the leadership of National President of Ice Skating Association of India Amitabh Sharma, General Secretary Jagraj Singh Sahni, and Chief Guest IPS Amit Sinha, Sports Director, Government of Uttarakhand, Haryana's medal-winning streak continued every day.
On the final day, Haryana won eight medals. Haryana also set a record by winning four gold medals, four silver medals, and five bronze medals, securing third place. This was Haryana's best performance at a national competition at the Himadri Ice Skating Rink in Dehradun.
Haryana secured third place by a margin of just one gold medal. For this achievement, State President Bijender Lohan congratulated all the players, coaches, and district officials and also credited the victory to the Haryana team's coach, Asian player Raina Kukreja, and team manager Pankaj Chaudhary.

In the men's Under-17 age group, Jai Yadav made history on the Dehradun rink by winning three gold medals. In the women's Under-13 age group, Parisha won one gold medal, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. In the women's senior age group, Stuti Dhandhania won three silver medals. In the men's senior age group, Sachin won two bronze medals, and in the men's Under-19 age group, Aarav Singhal won two bronze medals, securing third place for Haryana.

The India Short Track Speed ??Skating Open 2025 competition saw participation from over 300 ice skaters representing teams from a total of 20 states, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, and Chandigarh.
