Haryana Governments big decision regarding GroupD employees
Chandigarh, June 25:- Taking an important decision in the interest of thousands of Group-D employees of the state, the Haryana Government has decided to give them a one-time option to remain in the common cadre or exit it.
In this regard, Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi has issued a letter directing all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to complete this process within the stipulated time.
According to the letter issued, this process will be applicable to all Group-D employees appointed under Advertisement No. 04/2018 and employees appointed on compassionate grounds between March 28, 2018 and March 31, 2020.
The letter states that after the revisions made in the Group-D service structure, this one-time opportunity is being provided to the eligible employees to choose the option to remain in the common cadre or exit it.
The employees who opt to remain in the common cadre will continue to be governed by the provisions of the Haryana Group-D Employees (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2018, as amended from time to time. On the other hand, the employees who opt to be out of the common cadre will be subject to the relevant service rules of their respective departments.
To ensure transparency and convenience, this option will be sought through an online portal. Eligible employees will be able to register their option by visiting the portal https://recruitment.groupd.csharyana.gov.in/ from July 1 to July 15, 2026. This portal will be OTP based and employees will be able to log in only through the mobile number registered in their HRMS.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi has directed the Heads of all departments to ensure that every eligible employee compulsorily registers his option within the prescribed period. He has clarified that if an employee does not register his option within the stipulated time, then he will be considered as consenting to remain in the common cadre. The Chief Secretary has directed all the departments to widely publicize these instructions and convey its information to the eligible employees and complete the process within the stipulated time frame so that this work can be completed smoothly across the state.
