Haryana Government invites applications for Right to Service Commission
Chandigarh, June 16- The Haryana Government has invited applications for appointment to the posts of Chief Commissioner and Commissioner in the Haryana Right to Service Commission. To streamline the selection process, the state government has constituted a search committee, which will identify suitable candidates and send its recommendations to the statutory committee constituted under the Act.
According to the official notification issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, one Chief Commissioner and a maximum of four Commissioners can be appointed in the Commission constituted under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014. As per the provisions of the Act, the Chief Secretary of Haryana or the Secretary level of the Central Government and its equivalent or retired officers are eligible for the post of Chief Commissioner.
Similarly, applications have also been invited to fill one vacant post of Commissioner in the Commission. This post will be filled from among the retired officers of the Government of Haryana who have attained the rank and rank of Administrative Secretary or equivalent in the State Service. Officers of All India Services of Haryana Cadre will also be eligible for this post.
The selected candidates will hold office for a period of five years from the date of assuming office or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. There is no provision for reappointment to this post. The pay, allowances and conditions of service will be as per the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014 and as amended on June 28, 2019.
Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format to the Office of the Commissioner and Secretary, General Administration Department, Room No. 44-B, 6th Floor, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sector-1, Chandigarh, up to 5.00 PM on July 1, 2026. Officers working in the Central or State Government will have to send their applications through proper channels.
