Haryana Government approves renaming of Government College Jakholi Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda
Chandigarh, November 28:- Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the state government has given formal approval to change the name of Government College Jakholi (Sonepat) to Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, Jakholi, respecting its historical importance and great Indian tradition. This decision has been taken after the approval of Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini on the proposal sent by the Higher Education Department.
The Education Minister said that Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan has been a symbol of unparalleled bravery, courage and national spirit in Indian history and naming the college after him will encourage patriotism, leadership ability and historical consciousness among the youth.
He said that the state government is committed to developing the educational institutions of the state not only as educational centres but also as carriers of cultural and historical values.
He said that this change will not only strengthen the educational environment but will also provide an opportunity to the students to draw inspiration from their glorious past.
