Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Unveils Major Development Initiatives in Naraingarh
Chandigarh, July 1:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini dedicated 325 Amrit Sarovars and 70 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances to the people of the state during a programme held in Naraingarh, Ambala on Wednesday. On the occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ?337 crore , including seven key healthcare projects completed at a cost of ?114 crore and 325 Amrit Sarovars constructed at a cost of ?223 crore .
The event was attended by Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao , MLA Shalley Chaudhary , Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Dr. Sumita Misra , NHM Managing Director R.S. Dhillon , and Director, Panchayat Department, Anish Yadav . Ministers, MLAs, and other dignitaries from different districts also joined the programme through video conferencing.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described the occasion as a historic milestone not only for Naraingarh but for the entire state of Haryana. He said that the inauguration and foundation laying of projects worth more than ?337 crore represented a significant step toward realizing the vision of a Healthy, Prosperous, and Developed Haryana , rather than being merely the launch of infrastructure projects.
On the occasion of Doctors' Day , the Chief Minister extended his greetings and appreciation to doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ASHA workers, and all healthcare personnel across the country and the state. He paid tribute to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy , describing him as an eminent physician, freedom fighter, visionary administrator, and nation builder. He remarked that Dr. Roy’s belief that *"healthy citizens are the greatest strength of a strong nation"* remains relevant even today.
## ?858 Crore Development Works in Naraingarh
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that continuous development has taken place in the Naraingarh Assembly constituency over the past eleven and a half years. Including today's announcements, development works worth ?858 crore have been carried out in the constituency.
Highlighting major projects, he said the Yamunanagar–Panchkula National Highway-73 was constructed at a cost of ?1,112 crore . Other completed projects include the Government Women's College at Baragarh , Fatehgarh-Raivali Road and Bridge , Naraingarh Four-Lane Road , Raivali Road , a modern sports stadium , CHC buildings at Shahzadpur and Ambli , and construction and expansion of PHCs at Bhurewala, Dhanana, and Chhansoli .
The Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed 50-bed hospital block , built at a cost of around ?32 crore , increasing the Civil Hospital's capacity to 100 beds . He also inaugurated a Block Public Health Unit built at a cost of approximately ?50 lakh , which will strengthen healthcare services at the local level.
He further announced that a Regional Horticulture Research Centre of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Karnal , has been established at Chhansoli at a cost of ?13 crore . A new Government Polytechnic Institute has also been announced for Naraingarh in the current state budget. Additionally, the state is establishing 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) , including IMT Ambala and IMT Naraingarh .
## Government Committed to Inclusive Development
The Chief Minister said the state government has translated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" into reality. He noted that under the Prime Minister's leadership for over 4,400 days , India has emerged as one of the world's leading powers.
He said the government remains committed to fulfilling all its promises. Out of 217 commitments made in the Assembly election manifesto, 66 have already been fulfilled , while work is underway on the remaining 151 promises .
Under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana , around 10 lakh women have received financial assistance of ?2,100 per month , amounting to ?1,415 crore . The government has also provided LPG cylinders at ?500 to poor families, benefiting 14.42 lakh beneficiaries with assistance worth ?282 crore .
## Major Relief for Farmers
The Chief Minister said all 24 crops in Haryana are being procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) . So far, ?1.80 lakh crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers .
He said that during the last eleven and a half years, farmers have received ?16,530 crore under crop loss compensation and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana , compared to ?1,138 crore during the previous Congress government. He also stated that the previous government had left ?269 crore in pending compensation, which was cleared after 2014.
The government has enacted stringent laws against the sale of fake fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides , prescribing imprisonment of up to five years . Under the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme , 46 crops have been included, and 157 farmers have so far received ?1.40 crore in assistance.
## Digital Governance and Social Welfare
The Chief Minister said that land and property registrations in Haryana have now become completely paperless and digital . The annual creamy layer income limit for the Backward Classes has been increased from ?6 lakh to ?8 lakh , while reservation has also been extended to the Backward Class-B category.
Referring to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana , he said 1.56 lakh houses have been provided under the scheme. Under the Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme , 18,470 families have received benefits, while 12,031 plots have been allotted under the rural housing scheme.
He added that free dialysis services are now available in all government hospitals for kidney patients. Following the establishment of Day Care Cancer Centres in 17 districts , cancer treatment facilities are now available in all 22 districts of Haryana.
## Transparent Recruitment and Water Conservation
The Chief Minister said that over the past eleven and a half years, 1.83 lakh youth have secured government jobs without recommendation or bribery . Police recruitment is currently underway, and the results for 4,000 posts have already been declared. Recruitment in various other government departments will also be carried out soon.
He recalled that Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently inaugurated 350 Atal Libraries in Haryana. Referring to the inauguration of 325 Amrit Sarovars , he said these water bodies have been created to address the declining groundwater levels in many regions by promoting water conservation.
He also urged farmers to adopt natural farming and highlighted the subsidies and incentives being provided by the government for promoting sustainable agriculture.
## Health Minister Thanks Chief Minister and Prime Minister
Addressing the gathering, Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao said the Haryana Government is continuously working to provide better healthcare facilities to the people. Besides improving medical infrastructure, the government is focusing on the early detection and prevention of diseases.
She said that mental healthcare services are now being strengthened at the block level, while emergency medical services have also been upgraded. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini , she said their visionary leadership has significantly strengthened healthcare services across Haryana.
## Advanced Ambulances to Be Linked with Dial 112
Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Dr. Sumita Misra said the government is continuously strengthening healthcare infrastructure. She informed that the newly dedicated 70 Advanced Life Support ambulances will be deployed across various districts and integrated with the Dial 112 emergency response system . She also said that machinery and medical equipment worth nearly ?20 crore , funded through CSR initiatives, have been dedicated to the people.
She further announced that rotational counselling services for mental health will now be provided in educational institutions to improve psychological support for students.
## MLA Thanks Chief Minister for IMT and Healthcare Projects
Naraingarh MLA Shalley Chaudhary thanked the Chief Minister for the healthcare projects and particularly for sanctioning the Industrial Model Township (IMT) for Naraingarh. She said the Chief Minister is working tirelessly for the welfare of Haryana's people, ensuring that government services reach citizens at their doorsteps.
BJP leader Banto Kataria also addressed the gathering. Among those present were former MLA Pawan Saini , former Minister Santosh Sarwan , District President Mandeep Rana , Rajesh Bataur , Vice Chairman Rakesh Bindal , Market Committee Chairman Narinder Rana , and Municipal Committee Chairperson Aina Gupta .
