Hamare Ram play staged in Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur- The Punjab government staged the famous play ‘Hamare Ram’ at the local James Cambridge International School with the aim of taking the life, ideals and eternal message of Lord Shri Ram to every household.
On this occasion, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is making continuous efforts to preserve the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the state as well as to pass it on to the new generation. Under this objective, free shows of ‘Hamare Ram’ are being organized in Hoshiarpur on 4th and 5th September. He said that it is a matter of pride for the people of the district to include Hoshiarpur in these shows.
He said that ‘Hamare Ram’ is a wonderful play based on the Ramayana, in which renowned actor Ashutosh Rana is impressing the audience with his strong acting in the role of Ravana. Through magnificent stage decoration, effective dialogues, music, visuals and acting, this play effectively presents the message of truth, religion, kindness, decency and harmony associated with the life of Lord Shri Ram.
MLA Jimpa said that in today’s time, the ideals of Lord Shri Ram are even more relevant for the society. His life inspires us to follow the path of truth, respect elders, fulfill our duties and maintain brotherhood and harmony in the society.
He said that the show of ‘Hamare Ram’ is completely free for the public, so that people from all sections of society can watch this magnificent theatrical performance and get inspired by the ideals of Lord Shri Ram. He appealed to the residents of Hoshiarpur to participate in this event in large numbers and contribute to further strengthening the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.
He informed that two shows will be organized on September 5 at 2 pm and 6 pm.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Mayor Praveen Saini, Senior Deputy Mayor Surinder Kumar, Chairperson of the District Planning Committee Karamjit Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rakesh Kumar Meena, other officers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
