Patiala:- Gyan Jyoti Education Society Patiala celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Nehru Park. On this occasion, the great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country were remembered with devotion.
During the function, the tricolor flag was hoisted and after that, laddus were distributed among the people present. On this occasion, Ashwini Kamboj and Tony Shayer presented patriotic songs and colored the atmosphere in the color of patriotism.
The society made people aware about the conservation of the environment and appealed to them to take the resolution of “Clean Patiala, Green Patiala”, “Every person should plant two trees” and “Plastic-free royal city of Patiala”. On this occasion, a call was given for joint efforts to make Patiala city clean, plastic-free and green.
A large number of people including Mohan Lal Khanna, Deepak Kapoor, Vinay Vicky Singh, Dev Raj Santhi, Pappu, Yoga Group participated in the event and celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm. On this occasion, Upkar Singh, President of Gyan Jyoti Education Society, extended his heartfelt greetings to all the Sangat and the city residents from Canada on the occasion of 80th Independence Day.
