Guru Nanak Dev Jis Gurpurab was celebrated at Shivalik Public School Jaito
Jaito, November 4 - The Gurpurab of Jagat Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with great devotion at Shivalik Public School Jaito. The morning prayer session started with the Mool Mantra. After the Mool Mantra, Japji Sahib Ji was recited by the teachers and students. After this, a very melodious Kirtan was sung by the students.
After this, various poems related to the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji were recited by the students. The teachers and students of the school highlighted the teachings of Guru Sahib Ji, Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chako. The Gurpurab week was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm by the students.
Throughout the week, the students participated in various religious and educational activities to understand the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. From Nursery to U. The students of KG class were taken to Gurdwara Guru Ki Dhab Sahib, where they offered prayers, listened to Kirtan and learnt about the teachings of Sikhism.
During this, one pauri path, two pauri path, Shabad singing, paath competition, quiz competition and special assembly were organized for the students of classes I to IV.
The students also participated in Nagar Kirtan and spread the messages of Guru Ji’s love, truth and unity through Shabad singing and poetic presentations.
This week was truly a beautiful blend of devotion and education, which inspired the young minds to follow the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Mr. Sarabjit Singh, congratulated the students and the teachers of the school on the occasion of Gurpurab and while addressing them said that we should take guidance from the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and try to follow the path shown by him.
